Clean, old-fashioned hotel with incredible and awesome location to a different restaurant. Spotless and very specious room and huge bathroom with a shower, a hair dryer and bath sheets. Comfortable beds and efficient staff.

Perfect spot for Christmas fun!
I spent 5 nights here, and it was hella fun! Right across from the Xmas market, super convenient. The staff were all super friendly and really helpful. I had breakfast in the bar area, lovely. Just wish the rooms were a bit more updated. A cozy stay!

The fact that the hotel is smack bang in the middle of the city with Princess street at your feet, with an array of bars restuarants and places of historical interest at your doorstep also, this hotel is the place to be for convienience to it all.......i recommended the hotel to our reunion party and im sure there was a surge of last minute bookings as i have stayed at the hotel previously and knew that it would fit the bill to a tee
No comments at all, everything was 1st class

Location and staff
This was my second stay and again the "view " from the window of the room was downpipes and gutterring and brick ( room 507 ). Without air- con, the room would be unusable

Good location
Extremely uncomfortable bed ie springs poking through into my skin, which caused a sleepless night. I complained to the duty manager who refused to give me any sort of refund and referred my complaint to the general manager. Before doing so however, he came and tested the bed himself and agreed that it was unacceptable and apologised. 4 days after my stay and I'm still waiting for a call from the manager to discuss my complaint.

We stayed at the waverley for five nights and loved the character of the hotel. The location was perfect with easy access to buses and trams right outside. The breakfast was good too! Plus, we enjoyed the warmth and cleanliness of our room. Being able to see the christmas market from our window was a good bonus!

Hotel is located in ideal position. We were very lucky and had a room with a view of Princess Street. Really enjoyed stay and can't wait to go back again next year.

The location is superb. The views I had from my room were unique and priceless. The hotel staff was very, very helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel. The facilities in the room far surpass the three- star rating the hotel has. In-room ironing facilities, which I've only seen in some 5* hotels were the thing that particularly impressed me, but not only that. The included breakfast was also really good value for money and good quality.

Old Waverly Hotel is very well located right by Waverly Station in Edinburgh, exactly at Princes Street, where all tourists want to be and visit!! From the Station you can walk 3 minutes to the hotel and you can easily spot it. The rooms are nice, confortable and clean and were probably recently renovated, because it all looks great! Even the internal view rooms (I stayed in one and I thought it was going to be an average room) are very nice!! Breakfast is well served and with a good variety of foods. The hotel has a storage room for your suitcases that can be used before check-in or after check-out. The overall experience was excellent and it made my trip to Edinburgh unforgettable!!
